Program Pause
Our programs are temporarily paused due to upcoming changes in state and county regulations, effective in 2026, yet many programs are experiencing impacts now. We will keep you updated on new developments and our next steps.
ZEA (zay.ah) Community Enrichment is a Global Majority centered, multicultural hub for youth in Boulder County, founded in 2020, with the aim of bridging the gap between our community’s affluent class and that of our historically marginalized members, providing access to Earth centered youth enrichment for all; ZEA works at the intersection of our humanity in relationship to place, purpose, and belonging; knowing these principles align the mind and ignite the heart with a shared goal of uplifting youth as rising Global Citizens.
Our youth programs explore these intersections through four domains…
Communication
youth offer their unique lens and expression while growing their skill set to respond in generative ways
Collaboration
youth center the health of a community and relationship through partnership as both process and practice
Connection
youth make meaning of their world and experience, in doing so they connect to their specific purpose while deepening an understanding of their choices and therefore their contributions
Imagination!
together youth dream of new worlds and possibilities; using play as a pathway to actualize a shared vision and goal
“The task of radical educators must be organized around establishing the ideological and material conditions that would enable people from oppressed classes to claim their own voices. This would enable the development of a critical discourse of the wider society.”
~ Paulo Freire
